 Children’s Smile Foundation began 2007 by celebrating its 5th year anniversary and honoring Msgr. Peter Zendzian at the Valentine’s Day Ball on February 10, 2007. The event was held at Polonaise Terrace in Brooklyn where we were joined by about 80 guests. Everyone danced to the music of “Retro Band” and participated in the auction of paintings.

In March, we organized a book auction. Its goal was to raise funds for Pawel Dubaj to help the child’s family to help cover his medical bills.

On Friday, May 4th, 2007, at 7pm at the Jozef Pilsudski Institute of America, Children’s Smile Foundation organized a lecture/book auction, celebrating The 3rd of May Constitution. It was a great opportunity for everyone from surrounding Polish-American communities to take part in and look back at our history to be able to appreciate and understand all that the Polish heritage has to offer.

On June 3, a Kid’s Day was organized for children from Polish Supplementary School in Maspeth. Its students had an opportunity to take part in a drawing contest. Awarded kids expressed their imagination also on our banner that is displayed during our presentations or fundraisers.

In July 2007, funds to orphanages in Stalowa Wola and Towarzystwo Pomocy Sw. Brata Alberta, were sent to cover some building renovation and children’s vacation expenses.

This year’s summer picnic took place on August 25, 2007. Nearly 150 people enjoyed delicious Polish cuisine and dance to the “Paradise” band tunes. Among a variety of attractions was a lottery for an iPod.

On September 29, 2007, for the second time we held Junior Miss Polonia Pageant at the Holy Cross Parish in Maspeth. All of our participants were awarded and joined us at the Pulaski Parade on October 7.

In November 2007, a very generous and loyal friend of ours had organized another fundraiser. Most of the funds raise were sent to Towarzystwo Pomocy Sw. Brata Alberta in Stalowa Wola. The remainer of the donation was distributed among orphanages in Stalowa Wola, Jelenia Gora, and a foster home in Glowienka.

On November 9, 2007, holiday packages full of toys and clothing were sent to orphanages throughout Poland.

At the end of November, we spent an evening with Wojciechowski girls. Three sisters’ mother is completely paralyzed in effect of a car accident. To help them not only financially but also to draw their attention from their suffering mother, they received gift cards to a popular department store to spend on winter clothing.
